Consider that companies are "saving" consumers on the front end with coupons yet writing off all these coupons against their corporate taxes. Because so many coupons are being issued those companies end up paying little or no tax which the tax liability
they would have had creates lost revenue to the Treasury.Any benefits these revenues could have had now create a revenue void which is passed on the general taxpayer in the form of increased liabilities. On the back end the tax burden increases to
current and future taxpayers with an increasing deficit.
