We have in our laboratory an AMEL System 5000 potentiostat. The
instrument is about 5 years old and according to the manual it is
capable of full computer control and data acquisition via either
the IEEE or RS-232 ports on the back of the case. AMEL supply
software (EASYSCAN and EASYCORR) for their most recent
potentiostats but despite the references to the availability of
software in our manual the manufacturers claim they are unable to
provide us with appropriate software because of the age of the
instrument. (Do you believe it?) They are of course more than
willing to sell us the new software if we buy a new instrument.
Does anybody use a similar system to ours, with IBM computer
control, and if so where did you get your software and what are
your experiences with AMEL?

I use Amel 5000 from a long time. Is is connected via IEEE to a pc and controlled by Scribner software (Corrware & Corrview)
