    If pterosaur feathers are indeed homologous with dinosaur feathers, it
    raises the very interesting question of the origination of this feature among the non-dinosaurian common ancestors of pterosaurs and dinosaurs.

    Has there been any fossil skinprints of the LCA (kin) found? I had presumed there was physical evidence of scale covering.
