An old group (rec.bicycles.racing) has transitioned to Facebook, quite successfully. It' a thought. Or you can find a new client/server combo
that works for you. Or we can just quit. There's less and less
interesting stuff happening as time goes on, and the audience is very small and strange.

We're even smaller than the "other group" I also posted this. The conversations here are much more interesting, and I'm interested in continuing. Suggestions?

So far gaming oriented for paleontology: https://discord.com/servers?query=Paleontology

I use Thunderbird with Giganews. I find it adequate.

But we don’t get the benefit of spam filtering found with Eternal September from what I’ve heard. I thought of messing with E-S alongside Giganews but haven’t had the motivation.

Anyone on an Apple device can use NewsTap as a reader. There is a free and
paid version. It’s not bad IMO. On my iPhone now.

    E-S is free.

aioe used to work but it tended to be used by GG.
It may no longer work anymore.

I am not sure what other free ones there are.
'Free trial' does not seem free to me.

I get the idea that I will not miss those posters
that think that usenet is a part of GG.
