Biochemical Diagnostic Laboratory Director
opening for a Director level position in our Biochemical Diagnostic Laboratory. ABMGG board-certification is strongly preferred; however, those with pending certification will be considered. Experience with functional/enzyme assays involved in the
assessment of mitochondrial disease is also preferred. The successful candidate will join an established and growing division and will be fully involved in the clinical responsibilities of the laboratory including reporting results, quality management
and assay development. Opportunities also exist for collaboration with the South Carolina newborn screening program as well as educational/research activities.
to provide clinical genetic services, diagnostic laboratory testing, educational programs and research in the field of medical genetics. The primary research and testing focus is on intellectual disabilities, autism and birth defects; however our
clinicians serve patients with a variety of genetic disorders across the lifespan.
