    Proofs are in math, not science. With the scientific method, there is
    always the chance something will be _dis_proven, or it isn't science. (Popper).

    Let me rephrase that for you, then:

    There is strong evidence to support the idea that the deaths (coral
    bleaching events) in or disappearance of coral reefs are caused by the increased water temperature because corals require a water temperature that
    is not too high in order to survive. There is also strong evidence to
    support the idea that the increased water temperature is the result of
    global warming.

    And with the corals, animals and plants that depend on them disappear, too:
