Senior Scientist in Biotech

JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary responsibilities include:

1) evaluating small radiolabeled organic molecules,

2) evaluating chelate conjugated antibodies for labeling efficiency,

3) optimizing specific conjugation chemistry and providing material for animal studies,

4) evaluating material made by third parties for suitability,

5) optimizing radiolabeling,

6) performing and assisting in the design of basic stability studies for proteins, protein conjugates, and small molecules,

7) performing or collaborating to conduct cell and xenograft based assays, and 8) collaborating with the NCI-Frederick Small Animal Imaging Program.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university appropriate to biomedical research

Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency

Five (5) years post-graduate experience of competent, innovative research in a related field of specialty

Demonstrated experience within the field of radiochemistry of small molecules and chelate-conjugate chemistry
