    The formula

    (frequency) = (speed of light)/(wavelength)

    says that, if the speed of light were constant, ANY frequency shift would be paired with an inversely proportional wavelength shift. NOT ANY frequency shift is paired with an inversely proportional wavelength shift, so the speed of light is VARIABLE:

    The constancy of the speed of light does not "seem" to be nonsense, as John Stachel misleadingly puts it. It IS nonsense, pure and simple. As the observer starts moving towards the light source, wavecrests start hitting him more frequently, which, in a
    world different from Einstein's schizophrenic world, can only mean that the speed of the wavecrests relative to the observer has increased:
