    At this very moment, Venus is about to overtake the slower moving Earth where the Sun is central and stationary to our mutual motions around our parent star. It can actually be seen at the end of the time lapse-

    The civil argument between Pope and Galileo was whether the fixed star background by which predictions of astronomical events were made could also be used to prove or demonstrate the Earth was moving by resolving direct/retrograde motion-

    In the 21st century, with a satellite tracking with the Earth around the Sun, the change in position of the stars from left to right due to the orbital motion of the Earth sets the Sun up as a stationary reference for the motion of Venus-

    The time lapse presently fills in the gap from an evening appearance (left of Sun) and a dawn appearance (right of Sun).

    Enjoy it while observers can because it only happens every few years or so.

    It is far more difficult nowadays, despite incomparable technological advances, to find a platform for the new approach to direct/retrograde motions as they apply to the faster moving Venus and Mercury, closer to the centre of the solar system than it
    was when Copernicus first presented the reasons for direct/retrogrades of the slower moving planets further from the Sun than the Earth.

    The fixed star background by which the slower moving planets are gauged from a faster moving Earth is unsuitable for applying to Venus and Mercury and the inputs from the Earth's orbital motion are different. It is only a slight adjustment of shifting
    the motion of the Sun through the constellations as the first Sun centred astronomers were forced to work with the change in position of the stars from left to right of the Sun, an observation normally swamped by daily rotation on the surface.

    This has nothing to do with priority, it is people being more proactive without waiting for larger organisations to change and change they will. I am a Christian and it colours my view on things and especially when it comes to talents and challenges-

    That wistful comment is the terms by which any innovator goes by, it carries with it the joy and sorrow of something which was done a while ago and no longer belongs to the original observer. It honours those who came before who lacked the instruments
    like the C3 camera to reach conclusions which they would have found easy to understand and so it remains for people of good heart and reasoning.
