    Any reader here can go to a satellite tracking with the Earth around the Sun and look at solar eclipse conditions any day of the week-

    The faster moving Mercury is travelling out from behind the central/stationary Sun as seen from a slower moving Earth. Everything to the left of the Sun is an evening appearance while everything to the left of the Sun is a dawn appearance so Mercury will
    eventually show up as an evening appearance when it is far enough away from the glare of the Sun (daylight).

    The reasons the stars change position from left to right of the stationary/central Sun is a reflection of the orbital motion of the Earth, including the spectacular star Antares (Rival of Mars) moving from left to right in unison with the other stars.

    I imagine the actual experience from the surface of the Earth is amazing.
