    The real problem here is that warming is only one consequence of our
    release of greenhouse gases, and it is not sufficient to use
    techniques like this to mitigate warming, because that will not
    address ocean acidification, which is at least as existentially risky
    to our civilization as warming.

    The only solution is the near immediate (decadal) reduction of fossil
    fuel burning to near zero. We may then need to look at technical
    approaches to capturing atmospheric CO2.
