Neither Copernicus nor Galileo could resolve the 'third motion' because of the Ptolemaic framework but I have by recognising that aside from diurnal rotation, the Earth actually does turn to the Sun as a function of its orbital motion and referenced to
either the Sun or the dark/light hemispheres of the Earth.

Having nobody to work with me is a horrible thing but such is the state of solar system research.
