Mercury is seen passing towards a twilight appearance in that time lapse, just as Jupiter, although moving in the same direction as Mercury behind the Sun, is about to enter the range of the C3 camera.

It allows observers to work with the older observing framework while shifting to a direct observation of those motions as they appear in real-time through the tracking satellite.

Whereas Saturn passed from left to right fairly quickly within range of the camera with its focus on the central Sun, Jupiter will pass much slower as its motion is faster than Saturn's.
