• Mars panorama: Scarred, Afghanistan-looking Hellhole

From Quadibloc@21:1/5 to All on Wed Aug 25 07:53:13 2021
Since Mars is, in fact, a very peaceful place, with no Taliban to bother
you, I would prefer to compare it to the American southwest, and
wonder what beautiful photographs Ansel Adams would have been
able to take among that rugged and desolate beauty.

In other words, don't let Mars be a psychological projective test
that says unflattering things about you!

    Too late.

In fact, Afghanistan is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, as
well- a place that as a landscape photographer I'd love to visit. It
is unfortunate that the human problems there largely preclude that.

She eplained she still thinks they're terrorists, this was just a cultural form of address, as she
was trying to persuade them to behave better.

This is a terrible event, but apparently the Taliban is not responsible.

Instead, it was an attack by ISIS.

In fact, while I opposed the decision to leave Afghanistan and precipitate
the tragic events of the past weeks, this is making it look like a masterpiece of strategy: apparently, with the Americans out of the way, ISIS and the Taliban are about to fight a war with each other.
