    For some people, they will experience a dryness in their approach to observing as though their equipment and their knowledge of different objects is just not enough to maintain an interest in the effort.

    It is possible to genuinely admire the pictures of Jupiter and its satellites that Paul and RichA provided in another thread, however, what satisfaction there is by adapting that old perspective first noted by Galileo as Jupiter's moons run back and
    forth around their parent planet as seen from Earth with the more comprehensive observations that satellites provide. I have no doubt that these observers find it easy enough to move to a different level of appreciation in terms of the back and forth
    motions of Venus and Mercury around the inner solar system's central star-
