People are part of creation/nature so the question represents a lack of generosity among the older generation who bought into a subculture that there are laws of nature. Men write laws for nature, but that merely highlights pretence by trying to pass
these shallow convictions off with quasi-legal language of evidence, proof, jury of peers and so on.

The subculture does leave nature behind and has done so for a number of centuries.

The developed world does not have much of an appetite for ivory, rhino horn, shark fins, sea-horses, etc.

The developed world does not do much clear-cutting of the remaining untouched forests in order to start plantations for products of questionable value.

Most of the REALLY bad ecological disasters have occurred in socialist/communist countries as a result of their ignorant and short-sighted policies.

BS! I grew up in a socialist country, what you hear and know is western propaganda, like the Ukrainian war.
    LOL!
Socialist economies are built as an efficient system to use less and distribute wealth evenly.
But the west is still stuck with the old British system, with an abusive banking system
Thousands of homeless living on the streets, alcohol and drugs killing them.

They don't pollute it, matter of fact Saud-Arabia wants to buy fresh water from them.
US had buffalos killed off, the eastern side of the country use to be covered with one solid forest from Canada to Florida , all cut out, used for farm lands.
Red wood forest destroyed here in the west coast, 1000 years old trees and it's still going on today.
Amazon forest being destroyed, called the lung of the planet. land used for farming, plant soy for the world.

What part of 7 billion people not being compatible with a natural world is hard for them to understand?
It's predicted that by 2035, 95% of all people will live in megacities. That could be good for nature.

Still have to feed those 8 billion hoomans with some thing?
London's economical footprint is 120 miles, means it sucks up resources within that circle.
8 billion people survives today , because hoomans learned how to mass produce nature in factory farming.
That's why energy plays an important role, (even wars) because this mass production can collapse very quick without the energy to drive machinery.
