    Kees IJpelaan:
At a 14 hours drive from Kinshasa, there is a village en there are some islands, where the population mostly lives of shellfish.
The women wade, feel the shells with their feet, then dive to pick them up.
It is considered gathering, not hunting, as no arms are implied.
It is in the fresh water of the Congo-river.
The shells are also sold to tourists.
I haven't yet found a whole lot, but the exemple seems interesting for further study.
