    Fruits and nuts become ripe & sweet, but arboreal apes tend to eat much less sweet food generally than humans. Resistant starches in unripe fruits do not produce strong insulin response, so do not produce obesity, unlike high-sugar ripe ones. Ripe fruits
    & nuts fall to ground. Homo is the ground ape, gathering sweets and getting fat & heavy boned vs arboreal apes.

    My first thought was, "Did this nimrod track diabetes or something?" But,
    we both know it didn't.

    Fruits & nuts are seasonal. Fruits in particular are a real hard sell. Sugar
    is sugar, your teeth don't care if it's candy or fruit. Tooth decay was once
    a common cause of death. In ancient Egypt it was more so from the
    gritty diet wearing down the teeth but imagine a sugary diet some tens
    of thousands, hundreds of thousands or even a few million years prior to
    the invention of the tooth brush!

    "Fruits & Nuts" doesn't even get our ancestors on a savanna, much less
    move them from there to every point between Africa and China beginning
    more than 2 million years ago...

    It's a wonder how some people can manage to flush a toilet without
    accidentally drowning themselves.
