Turns out humans aren’t the only ones who get down and dirty for sexual pleasure.
A pair of frisky gorillas at the Bronx Zoo proved that when one was filmed performing oral sex on its partner in front of aghast zoo-goers.

Are all six on this same theme? If so, my compliments to Deden for saving
me the trouble of looking. As a full time Professor with lots of duties, I really don't like to spend time
looking at YouTube stuff without a synopsis of what it is about.
In this case, the synopsis spared me from looking.
The same goes for regurgitation videos. Once around 1970 was all I care to have seen.

How about a synopsis of this one, Mario? Deden?

Pandora abandoned the theme of that thread in favor of on-topic paleo-anthropology,
and I followed suit.

I just used the opportunity to place some Beatles' music here, :).
Namely: three songs from the British "With The Beatles" (the second)
album, "Little Child", "I Wanna Be Your Man" (BTW, the song that Beatles
gave to Rolling Stones to be Stones' first hit, and that song propelled
Stones up the charts), "Hold Me Tight"; then two songs from the British
"Beatles Fro Sale" (the fourth) album, "Honey Don't" (a Carl Perkins'
song, George Harrison appreciated Carl Perkins very much, this is a
funny song sung by Ringo Starr, and with nice guitar solos by George
Harrison), "Every Little Thing"; and finishing it off with one song from
the fifth British album ("Help!"), "It's Only Love".
This one, I remember well, but I forgot that it was by the Beatles.
I don't recall any of the others.
All broadly unknown songs from the beginning of their career, but nice
in the context, never-the-less, :) .
All unknown to me. I do however love some post-breakup songs by
former Beatles, especially "My Sweet Lord" by George and
"Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" by Paul. The latter is most memorable
for its refrain, "Hands across the water." It starts out "We're so sorry, Uncle Albert."
I picture "Uncle" Albert Einstein, being turned down for a tenure-track position at Harvard,
on account of no prior experience teaching at institutions of higher education.

That's not what native English speakers call a synopsis.

If I understood correctly, you were talking about the possibility that
apes emerged out of Australopithecus.
Only chimps and, possibly, gorillas. The orangutan departed for Asiatic climes over 10 mya,
as did gibbons.
> Well, they can emerge out of Marsopithecus just as well.
Australopithecus has human-like pelvis, which doesn't fit this
scenario at all.
How much *more* human-like than that of a chimp, is the main issue. There is such a thing as regression to an earlier state in evolution, you know. Feathers
in flightless birds is a great example; also their "regression" to stronger legs.
IIRC the Dutch regular in s.a.p. believes in the gorilla-from-Australopithecus hypothesis
as well as the chimp hypothesis.
Do I remember this correctly?
