    Now I'm not saying that the science is pure bunk, but the writing
    is. The "Reporting" is trash.

    NOTE: The timespans they're throwing around are younger than
    King Tut by a century or more!

    They're not very old! They date WITHIN historic times, not pre
    historic. They are younger than writing...

    Taken in total, the finds suggest that pants date back further. That,
    these are a sort of latter day "Evolutionary" outcome of some
    previous invention. And they're combined with boots!

    So are they an adaption for the cold? For horseback riding? Both?

    And if they're a response to cold then pants might trace back
    tens of thousands of years prior. If it's horseback riding, then
    still a few thousand years older...
