Isn't that the criteria which they use to define a hominin? Until they change that definition, they will continue to believe it (despite gibbons, orangutans, gorillas and chimps all being able to walk and run bipedally). F.

Try habitual bipedalism, as reflected by the anatomy of the cranial
base, vertebral collumn, pelvis and lower leg.
