• Reducing dowel size hack

    I've done the deed with a swiss army knife... no jig required, and only the hole in the furniture for measure. Doesn't even require a work table.

    The traditional bodger trick, with a two-point spin support lathe and
    a rope around the work, also has miraculous ease-of-operation using only
    muscle power. A drill press with a rotating free-end support on the table allows
