Doing my letter to Santa Claus. One of the items (only one?) on the
list are some books from Lost Arts Press. Okay, just the first five
of the 23 on my list.

Anyone have any opinions on Lost Arts press?

I've gotten books from them. Publisher Chris Schwarz and his team do a great job... The books are high quality with acid free paper, sewn signatures and quality covers. The most recent books I got are "Mechanick Exercises" by Moxon and "Door Making and
    Window Making."

I first met Chris years ago when he was editor of Popular Woodworking. He came to my club's annual show in Saratoga Springs, NY. I happened to run into him at the Lie-Nielson booth--Tom was there. Over the years Chris was invited back as a professional
presenter. He has also presented at the Fine Woodworking event at Colonial Williamsburg, VA. He's a serious student and practitioner of woodworking and does a great job sharing his knowledge. Making high quality copies of the old books available to the
masses is an extension of that sharing.
