    Probably won't be finished for Christmas but would make a nice project.

    Not "twisted" but clever. The ideas are not so difficult, it is
    the "engineering" to get all the latches in place, as well as the
    craftsmanship skills to make everything "fit" - inlays as well.

    A "desk" - yes, Ikea will have something.

    But the style is just to ornate to fit into the Ikea aesthetic.

    Which is one of the attractions of such desks as in the article.
    They don't look like something you order from Office Supply Inc.

    The easel I made for my wife has almost as many adjustment widgets on it. It only took 12 years to finish.
