I just got a new dresser and had to take it out of my room. Major headaches from the MDF on part of the drawers and backing. =(

If you have a shed or garage, taking the drawers out may help it to
"age" a little faster. All the "Souder" brand stuff gives me a
intolerable reaction when it is new (sweating and shortness of breath).
    But it goes away.

Do you know what that means at the grocery store--where you actually
ingest much of what you buy? If you walk down the aisles with cans or
    boxes, then you may not.

And Yes, we mostly ingest much of what we buy at the grocery store. We
try not to throw food out.

Our dining room and bedroom are Ohio Amish mission in cherry. The
living room is mostly oak Stickley mission. We like mission style.

Oh, and the family room is also mission, from Amazon. ;-)

To some, there is absolutely nothing wrong with mdf. I think it is
likely that most furniture buyers don't even know what mdf is (let
alone, any of the "fine print" in the food they eat!).

Everything has its place. MDF, because of high damping, is a
preferred material for making speaker enclosures for example.

It's not "damping" rather mass/density and more importantly,
consistency. Damping is done by the case's shape/features and the
    speaker.
