    animated gifs, & utterly useless Android/iOS clients. We used to just
    have usenet, gopher, IRC & maybe a BBS or two. Then an endless stream
    of alternatives came along, & people naturally migrated to whichever
    they preferred.

    Here in the UK, the Boards magazine forum became the go-to place. But
    that crashed earlier this year & the current owners (Mpora) are too
    busy posting wanky childish cycling memes to Facebook to bother fixing
    it. So the traffic's now further diluted across mainly regional
    Facebook groups, & all the benefits of a 'national' forum have been
    lost.

    In the U.S. most people use iWIndsurf's forum, which is free (and next to wind information).
