I have several older DVD player that will play commercial
DVDs and my own AVI files (from flash drives) to the TV.
I would really like a DVD player that will also play
MP4 and MKV files from a flash drive to the same TV.
Suggestions welcome? thanks
My Blu-Ray player will play MP4 files from a drive. I'm not sure about
MKV, but I'd guess it would.
You could take your flash drive to the store and try some Blu-Ray
players with USB ports.
Another option are the TV tuner units that work as personal DVRs, like
the Homeworx PVR 150 or 180. I have one. It plays media files via the
USB input as well. These are cheaper than Blu-Ray players, starting
around $30.
