I has been said that this VCR cannot input PAL 60 (a hack used to play NTSC tapes on some PAL TVs where PAL encoding is used on NTSC B&W timings). Well, this is not true. I tried it yesterday (by chance) and found out it works. Interestingly, the Samsung has an indicator to tell which type of signal it inputs (e.g. PAL, NTSC...). That indicator is off for PAL 60, so it looks like
the VCR does not know what type of signal it inputs... but converts it correctly nevertheless.
