• HDTV needs calibration? FLASHBACK!!

From thekmanrocks@gmail.com@21:1/5 to All on Thu May 12 17:28:46 2016
So I googled the instances of the term 'calibration' in
rec.video, and it seems to occur more often the
further back in time one goes.

    Succinctly: display 'calibration' seemed considerably
more important back in the 'good'ol days' of CRT and
other forms of direct-view TV sets. A shame, since
the factory default settings for the current flat-panel
technology that superseded CRT are more garish and
inaccurate than the default settings for consumer
    CRTs ever were.

    So I guess pursuing even a part-time, or on-call,
gig as a display calibrator is no longer a lucrative
    idea.

    Sad.

Yes, it's sad. You've tried trolling this groups many times, regarding
your obsessive hobbyhorse, and in most cases, nobody replies. Any post
by you is a thread-killer; nobody likes you because you're a retarded
dumb fuck who won't stop trolling about your hobby horse obsessions.
Don't worry about your imaginary career calibrating TV sets. There
will always be charitable organizations dedicated to giving jobs to unemployable retarded dumb fucks. Like you.

Since your posts usually go unanswered, I thought I'd give you the
attention your little pecan-sized brain craves. (That's a pecan with a
cracked shell, of course). No need to thank me, li'l buddy. Just put
on your hockey helmet to prevent further brain damage; the short bus
will be arriving shortly to shuttle you to your job-for-retards. Just
stay away from the grown-up audio equipment. Not for retards like you,
    theckma.
