Internally, they take the nonsense out of booking trains, not that I
take many. I used a Delhi one for Rajasthan, which just took the hassle >>> out of things. Nowadays, for most places, I would book flights and a
hotel from home or a bus from the state agency here.

I still prefer the train in India.

No, that's wrong, I prefer the train to Indian airports...

I would probably use a travel agent for somewhere remote like the
Andamans or Laccadives, Sikkim or Jammu & Kashmir.

I don't think I'm allowed to go to Jammu & Kashmir.

Foreigners can't go to Mizoram or Nagaland and maybe Arunachal P, I think, and a couple of other states you need the inner line permit. J&K is open I believe.

Looks like you're right, but those dear chaps at the FCO don't think it's terribly safe...

    For the details...

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
    Time for tea.
