Tourist helpline receives 17,911 calls

New Delhi: Since its launch on February 8, the Union
Ministry of Tourism's 24x7 toll free tourist helpline-
1800111363 or a short code 1363 has received 17,911
calls from tourists as on March 20. The service provides
information relating to travel & tourism in the country
to the domestic and International tourists/visitors and
to assist the callers with advice on action to be taken.
The helpline is provided in languages namely, Arabic,
French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese,
Portuguese, Russian and Spanish, besides Hindi and
English, said a statement here.
