What are the airlines' rules regarding abandoning connecting :>flights?
The remainder of your itinerary, if there is one, will be cancelled. :>> :>If you are doing so in order to avoid a higher airfare and you have
frequent flyer account with that carrier, and you are caught, they
reserve the right to cancel your frequent flyer account.
Show up at the gate after the flight has left stating that you were :>sick/had
    to go to the bathroom.
When you see it will be a long delay to your (close by) destination :>tell them
that it is too late and you will rent a car. I would expect that to :>work.
Of course, if this is a round trip, you will have to board at the true :>> destination airport for your return flight.
And of course you should make sure your ethics are safely stored up
your butt. Remind me never to do business with you.
    Ethical problem?
I have no ethical problem with contracting for a service, paying in full, and then not requiring the contractor to complete the service.
Equally I have no problem with someone contracting for my services, paying me in full, and not requiring me to complete the job.
Thus I have no problem with contracting with an airline to take me from Chicago to Colorado Springs thru Denver, paying them in full, and not requiring the airline to take me from Denver to Colorado Springs.
Of course, I never took Ethics for Airline Toadies in college.
Another candidate for the permanently disbarred from flying on (enter :>airline name here) list.
    Yeah, right.
