I hope all the other passengers enjoy their

I think that industry is OVER, maybe forever.
None have the financial resources to withstand
another lockdown (and that may not be the last).
Those ships are EXPENSIVE. Maintaining them
is EXPENSIVE. Without lots of cash coming in,
well, the Love Boat will return a few bucks as
scrap metal ....
Maybe zeppelins will make a comeback ? :-)

Yet keels continue to be laid down. As far as Royal Caribbean is apparently >concerned, it's full speed ahead. I hear some Asian airlines are trying to lure passengers back by offering >cheap flights to nowhere ("point A to point A"), where they'll take off, fly >around for 90 minutes for a "scenic" flight, then land back at the same >airport:

Europe too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mUGQ_n1Xyk
Singapore Airlines, however, dropped the "flight" portion and expects people >to board an A380 to "enjoy" a "gourmet" meal while the plane stays on the >ground (!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSwzN8X_Oa4
I wonder if the fine print tells the patrons that they have to undergo 14 >days of quarantine afterwards...
Actually, zeps of modern design and materials really could be
a cheaper "cruise-ship substitute". They will not carry thousands
of course - so the companies will charge a lot more for tickets.

Talk about modern-day Zeppelins is all the rage,
but none of them ever seem to materialize.
