A massive fire, likely caused by lax fire safety practices during
pier-side maintenance, is currently ravaging USS Bonhomme Richard
(LHD-6), one of America's 10 big-deck amphibious assault ships
currently in the fleet. .. The loss of this multi-billion dollar
ship .. will be felt .. The fire has been intense enough to buckle
structural steel and melt the tires on vehicles parked on the
flight deck. Given the extent of the damage, the ship will, at a
minimum, be out of service for years, and may well be written off

It seems likely that the news about the death toll from drugs has
something to do with this trend. Everyone knows about the American
raging drugs epidemic but not everyone realizes its broad coverage.
A large part of the US policymakers, lawmakers as well as a large
part of the their military command and personnel keep their selves
on drugs - which may be legal antidepressants - and it affects the
way things are going on in the US.
