• Blooper at Sumoforum

From Louis Epstein@21:1/5 to All on Mon Jul 26 23:37:54 2021
At sumoforum.net the user Wakatake uploads tables of records
after every basho...but his "youngest ozeki promotion" chart
(though it supposedly applies to the 6 basho per year era that
began in 1958) omits Taiho.who should be near the top, born in
May 1940 and promoted around the start of 1961.

The World Trade Center towers MUST rise again,
at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.

I assume Wakatake is basing on sumodb - does it contain that info?

I look at sumodb and see the dates for Taiho that clearly disprove
Wakatake's table...also there are people on their "Trivia bits" topic
saying how Haguroyama was the oldest ever yusho winner "at 38",but
per sumodb he was born in November 1914 and his last yusho was in
January 1952...denying the record held by Kyokutenho, born September
1974 and yusho winner in May 2012.

For some reason the posting of records after the September basho
stopped shortly after the beginning (before the topics with the
errors noted here were reached). No idea if corrections are in the
    offing.
