Listen: I'm out of the business of retail back and forth arguing
semantics and perspectives and whatabouts. I don't mind discussion. I
don't even mind disagreement. What I don't have time, energy, or spoons
for is interminable days-long back and forth where it's really clear
that fundamentally one person just doesn't agree with me and can't let
go of trying to convince me I'm wrong.

When I'm wrong I generally figure it out pretty quickly. Occasionally
someone even manages to bring up a point I failed to consider, or to
consider effectively, and I appreciate that.

Continuing to harp and hammer on something when I've made my position
and reasoning clear, not so much. That sort of thing *always* ends up
being more about a battle of egos than a substantive and engaging
discourse that seeks truth, and I just. don't. have. the. time. or.
spoons. for. that. anymore.

I love y'all. I welcome different points of view that aren't my own.
Going back and forth for days isn't about different points of view, it's
about trying to "win" something, and I'm not here to "win" anything.

I'm not saying this to be a jerk or to excoriate anyone or to passive-aggressively call anyone out; it's a blanket statement. I love discussions. I will not participate in arguments, and the more any
given conversation starts looking more like an argument than a
discussion, you will find me quietly refusing to participate any further
as I've deemed my existing statements on the matter sufficient for my
purposes and see no further value to me, whoever I'm talking to, or You,
The Reader, in continuing.

What a self-serving dickhead. John censors and removes content. Remember
when John claimed he wasn't going to delete when he made a fool of
himself about a cosmetologist's qualifications and deleted it?
