courted the support of the decidedly moderate Speaker, yet now refuse to reciprocate that support and joyously celebrate what Democrats have already described as “a civil war” being driven by a hard right agenda.
One hopes you don’t live to regret your celebrations if your ailing
President fails to secure a second term. Or non-slip shoes next time he has
to navigate stairs, get off a bike or find an exit off a stage…
American democracy is starting to look truly unfixable. Crumbs of comfort
that when you die, you won’t leave a single ancestor to inherit the
emotional and economic deficit you leave in your wake…
