So I can get full-color single-sided self-designed cards at $8.50 for
500, $10.00 shipping, via GotPrint. I did my due diligence in terms of researching the company and reading reviews, and it looks like they're
"as good as anyone" at worst, maybe a little better given their pricing.
The card has my (professional) name (John Henry), e-mail, both the FOAP
and JHUS websites, and phone number. Blank cards for self-printing are
about $9 for 250 and always have ragged edges.

So now I just need to come up with a spare $20. I would just spring for
it, but the internet bill's overdue, I haven't paid Sunny Williams for
my phone bill in way too long, and I've got electric and car payment
coming due in the next five days. Given the improving weather forecast
I'm very concerned that my income is going to drop precipitously this
week, otherwise I'd just pull the trigger myself.

Today's the one day per week I give myself off, because Tuesdays are and
always have been slow for taxis and rideshares. I've got some cleaning
to do here at the apartment, and then I'm going to see about shooting
some video and getting that online for FOAP. I'd hoped to wait until I
have my teeth done before I started doing this stuff, but I've got to
get moving RIGHT NOW.

I'll try to have Patron set up for FOAP by tomorrow morning...of course
I still have to reinstall all of my apps on this computer ARGH. If
anyone's got $20 they can pitch in via PayPal

awesome. Every day I drive without them, I'm losing opportunities. I've
talked with a bunch of people I've picked up about this and response has
been very positive, and I've even added a dozen or so people to the page
that way, so this thing's got some energy and I think it's well worth
the $20 to get rolling in meatspace, I just don't have the $20 to spare
right now and I'm not likely to any time soon. If you decide to shoot me
$20, PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS THREAD so I don't have people sending money
that I don't need (yet).

If anyone sent that money along, I'm sure they sent even more for the
other joke projects. But it sounds like John was going to hand out these
cards to paying passengers before he got fired from Lyft.

Isn't it wonderful that you can get overcharged for a ride and have some
filthy nutcase push cards on you that direct you to his website so he
can mooch more from you?

On the positive side, it seems that yet again, the project that was going
to be funded by other people’s money, never was. As long as John’s PC upgrades, beefaroni and fleshlight collections, nose powder habit, stripper
and hookers he could film giving him blowjobs habits all got their
necessary share of other people’s money, it sounds like the world is as it always was…
