Why Wouldn't They Donate?: How John Henry's Life Could Have Been Saved
    Profile One: Robert Stickler

Robert Stickler is a long-time poster to the Usenet newsgroup rec.sport.pro-wrestling, a venue for lively discussion of various
ersatz hobbies such as wrestling and politics. He originally
hailed from the Debbie Gibson newsgroup, but through sheer
brute force took over RSPW and made it his home.

Robert has never been inducted into the RSPW Hall of Fame,
but that's only because it was discontinued before his arrival.
John Henry was the first inductee, and would have gladly
shared the honor with Robert if only Robert would have donated.

Yes, that's right. Despite having tens of thousands of dollars in
"savings" (read: sitting, gathering dust, not being used to help
others in distress even though only a fraction of it could save
a man's life), Robert never donated a dime to John Henry.

John and Robert had several things in common when John
was alive. They were both shelf-stockers at a major retailer.
They both shared a strong belief in a Creator. They both worked
very hard to get where they were in life. They both used
racial slurs and later regretted it. They both loved professional
wrestling. Despite all of these similarities, Mr. Stickler
steadfastly refused to give succor to JH, instead telling him to
"get a job," or "go to jail," opining "are there no workhouses?"

John's impending fate did not seem to stifle Robert's generally-
merry attitude one bit, as Robert laughed out loud at the thought
    of JH eating from dumpsters.

In later years, Robert deeply regretted not visiting the link paypal.me/johnhenryus and donating an amount large enough
to help John Henry survive. He could not undo the damage
his cavalier attitude and refusal to donate wrought on the Henry
family or the city of Kalamazoo, which was left forever poorer
by the premature removal of a legend.

John did much funnier things than that, in dumpsters.

“They both worked very hard to get where they were in life.”

I’m not sure what part of that sentence is the funniest! The suggestion
that John ever “worked very hard” or the equally hysterical possibility that he ever got anywhere in life!

    John DeJong. Oxygen thief…

John DeJong may be the least interesting person on the world wide inter
    web.

That even includes Chad - who hasn’t a friend in the world…
