Indeed they are.
But SNL has had some of the best bands in history. I'll choose SNL performances by the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Tom Petty, Prince and Paul McCartney over that one....
Have seen some great acts on SNL over the years - albeit precious few
in recent times - including many admittedly bigger names or acts than
Brandi. But I can't recall ever seeing a live performance that nailed
it like that one did last week. I particularly enjoyed the breakout
performance of Nirvana and and Tom Petty, and I'm sure there are
hundreds more I've missed, but for sheer points for mastery of their
craft and connecting perfectly with the live audience via the musdical
artistry rather than gimicks like licking the faces or ripping the
shirts off band members or ripping up photos of the pope, I don't think
I've ever seen their equal. Amazing stuff.
I'm surprised Chad has never received comp tickets to one of their Salt
Lake City shows...
