I'm thankful that -- despite Skeeter's most fervent hopes -- homophobes, anti-Semites, racists, and insurrectionists are still (again, mostly) shut out of the political process and shunted on the fringes of society.

I'm thankful for hopefully reaching 54 years old next year, and that my 50s have thus far been a terrific learning experience. When you're 23, you think you know everything. 30 years later I'm finding out I was still a child back then.

Thankful for my wife and our four cats. (they don't have names because the little shits don't come when you call anyway)

Thankful, for all the experiences that still lay before us.

We got the house, we can now look into thing that have been swept under
the rug.
