May Allah bless you and accept your zikr. Ameen.
Ratib Al-Attas was compiled by the great scholar and saint, Imam Abdullah bin Alawi Al-Haddad (may Allah have mercy on him), who lived in Yemen in the 17th century. He named it after his teacher, Shaykh Abu Bakr bin Salim Al-Attas (may Allah have mercy
on him), who was a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

The purpose of Ratib Al-Attas is to purify the heart and soul from the diseases of ignorance, heedlessness and sin. It also helps to increase the love of Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and to seek protection from the evils of
this world and the hereafter. Ratib Al-Attas consists of various verses from the Qur'an, praises of Allah, salutations on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), supplications for forgiveness, guidance, mercy and blessings.

Ratib Al-Attas is usually recited after the Maghrib (sunset) or Isha (night) prayers, either individually or in a group. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Some of the benefits of reciting Ratib Al-Attas are:

It brings peace and tranquility to the heart and mind.
It strengthens the faith and trust in Allah.
It attracts the mercy and grace of Allah.
It removes the obstacles and difficulties in life.
It protects from the harm and evil of enemies.
It increases the provision and sustenance from Allah.
It grants success and happiness in both worlds.
Therefore, Ratib Al-Attas is a valuable treasure for every Muslim who wants to attain closeness to Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). May Allah make us among those who recite it regularly and sincerely. Ameen.

In addition to Ratib Al-Attas, there are other forms of zikr that are recommended by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them). Some of them are:

The morning and evening supplications, which are recited after the Fajr (dawn) and Asr (afternoon) prayers, or before sunrise and sunset. They contain various invocations for protection, gratitude, guidance and forgiveness.
The tasbih (glorification) of Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), which is recited 33 times each of SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah), Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) after every obligatory prayer. It is a
way of remembering and praising Allah for His favors and blessings.
The istighfar (seeking forgiveness), which is recited 100 times or more every day, preferably in the last third of the night. It is a way of repenting from sins and mistakes, and asking Allah for His pardon and mercy.
The salawat (salutations) on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), which are recited 100 times or more every day, preferably on Fridays. It is a way of expressing love and respect for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and seeking
his intercession and favor on the Day of Judgment.
These are some of the examples of zikr that can enrich our spiritual life and bring us closer to Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). They are easy to perform and have great rewards and benefits. We should try to make them part of
our daily routine and habits. May Allah help us to do so. Ameen.
