• Tyson Fury v Otto Wallin

[ I wrote this elsewhere, but it might be
intenresting to the folks here as well, if
    RSB is still alive/active (?) ]

On the pugilistic side of things, Swedish HW
Otto Wallin will challenge the de facto
reigning HW champ Tyson Fury (UK, 31 y o,
206 cm, 117 kg). Fury was the guy to finally
beat Wladimir Klitschko, but has since then
    lost the title due to
    technical/outside-of-the-ring reasons, which
fans of the sweet science, the true judges of
    the sport, tend to ignore.

    Wallin (28 y o, 197 cm, 107 kg) has 20 pro
fights, however opposition tends to pick up
slowly in the fight game, so probably only the
last few couple of fights were real challenges,
that makes it hard to say if he is ready or
    not.

Fury has a style of his own where he steps
around on light feet with lots of head movement
back and forth, this makes him really hard to
hit and some of the skilled boxer-punchers
(e.g., Klitschko) who are used to hit and
hitting gets mesmerized by this to the point
    they stop throwing punches completely...

Also when one gets too close to Fury, he uses
his size and leans over you which will drain
you of stamina before you know it.

Fury's offensive is mostly single straight
shots, sometimes keeping his hands low, relying
on his reflexes Roy Jones Jr style.

So to beat Fury one will have to 1) not be
discouraged and keep throwing tho one will miss
a lot, to make him nervous and waste more
energy hopping around, and 2) get to medium
distance and throw shots *to the body* which he
can't move nearly as fast as he can his head.

Okay, now I've seen it. Poor guys :( I think
fights should be stopped on cuts like that.
Can't see with blood pouring down into the eye,
this makes fights even more unsafe than they
already are. Both fighters made good efforts,
let's just they're both OK as well.
