• Well done Starc and Brisbane

Was great from his first ball taking 5 for 48, no wonder the WI
commentators called him one of the current greats.
Well done Brisbane getting the 2032 Olymoics. Although I don't
understand how they managed to not get a unanimous IOC vote in a one
    horse race.

FFS 2.0. I'm saying that the troughsters abstained in a funk because they *didn't* get their usual bribe.

As I haven't been there for yonks, or possibly ever, there's little value.

Starc bowled very well indeed last night. For the first time in any of
the matches he's played in the Caribbean on this tour. Great bowlers
perform superbly in more than one match out of six. A lot of ordinary
bowlers have the occasional great game.

As commentators go, Daren Ganga is slightly more useless than Danny
Morrison, and while Ian Bishop is good on tactics and assessing the
game in front of him, he makes Wasim Akram sound like a miseryguts
when saying how good a player is.

Chuckles's evidence amounts to proving that Mrs Macquarie's Chair is
near the top of a major mountain. They obviously set bars very low in
    NSW.

    Cheers,

    Mike

I'm guessing, but I think the 3 abstentions might be the 3 countries
who also expressed an interest - Qatar, Hungary & Germany.

The 5 negative votes may be IOC members who are not fully on board
with the new selection process. Instead of cities bidding to hold
the Games, the IOC now has a dialog with potential areas/regions
which they think might be suitable, and agrees on their preferred
location earlier. The process isn't as transparent as some countries
would like, but one of the main aims is to streamline everything
    and reduce the costs.

AFAIK they expressed an interest but didn't go ahead with a full bid.
