digits, and I owe my latest improvement to the teachings of Professor >>> Himalaya. His seminar, although brief, was nothing short of amazing.
I have been in contact with him several times, and every question or
inquiry I have made has been answered to my satisfaction.

the Prof prescribes, opening the clubface as much as possible on the
backswing. It closes automatically like a spring on the downswing.

Now, my last 3 rounds have been 76,76, and 78 from the blue
tees at my club, just over 6400 yards. My handicap is now in
the single digits, and I owe my latest improvement to the
teachings of Professor Himalaya. His seminar, although brief,
was nothing short of amazing. I have been in contact with him
several times, and every question or inquiry I have made has
been answered to my satisfaction.
Amazing that there is not a SINGLE reference to "Professor
The keystone of his teaching, opening the clubface with the
hands as much as physically possbile, while letting the arms
and body respond to this motion is very much similar to what
Ben Hogan said. He was very big on an open clubface on the
takeaway. Now I don't know how much of the Prof's teachings
match up with Hogan, but no doubt there is a lot to be said
for an open clubface. Now if I do exactly what the Prof
prescribes, opening the clubface as much as possible on the
backswing. It closes automatically like a spring on the
downswing. It is automatic. It works, but you gotta have an
open mind to give it a try and stick with it. Just trusting
the motion, letting it happen, instead of trying to make
certain things happen. It took about ten swings for me to
master this technique, and I saw the Prof, a short man in his
70s, maybe 140 pounds, hit drive after drive 250 yards or
more and straight.
One thing he told me in a recent email, was that if you push
or slice with this method, you are holding on to the release.
He wants you to release from the top. If you are an open
faced player, you do actually need some negative shaft lean
to square the clubface. He told me that if you discount his
method, and want to play with a closed face, that is
certainly possible, but you then need positive shaft lean, a
lot, to square the clubface at impact.
I will be leaving for a brief trip to LA next week, and I
found out that the Prof will be in San Diego for two
seminars. We are going to meet for a round of golf, and I am
going to pay him for a 3 hour lesson, where we focus on the
short game and putting, he says he has a lot to say about
these. If anyone wants to join, let me know, we can make it
happen. He has changed my whole perspective about the golf
game, but you got to have an open mind.
