    Irving and I agree on one point, but not the other. Republicans will be VERY EFFECTIVE when they shortly regain control of Congress, especially since it looks like they will flip the Senate as well. If they show the SLIGHTEST deference in this regard us

    Effective at giving tax cuts to the super rich that are permanent...

    ...while giving temporary tax cuts to ordinary folks...

    ...and then turning around and saying that you'll need to cut social
    programs because there's not enough money.

    Effective at running up government spending and piling up the debt.

    Yeah... ...effective.
