You obviously don't understand why and I'm not going to explain it again. See my prior post.

Well, looking at the posts still quoted in above, I believe that I see the actual point
    of contention:

"The labor force participation rate represents the number of people in the labor force
as a percentage of the civilian noninstitutional population."

That means everyone who's not in prison.

FWIW, other descriptions identify this as age 16+, but they also do not list what
the above goes on to claim, namely: "...either working or actively looking for work".

If one is actively looking for work, it falls under the Unemployment metrics, but it
does not appear to fall under the definition for labor force participation rate.

What this means is that there's large & significant population subsets who are not
employed, nor would we expect them to be, which drag down the Participation Rate %
under all circumstances. For example, Students, Housekeepers, and ... Retirees.

For this last one, we've known for decades about the Baby Boomer population bubble
and how it was approaching retirement. Structurally, that's going to have to cause a
long steady drop in the LFP % until they literally die off, as the LFP definition does not
contain any obvious upper age exclusion criteria.

BLS is calculating the LFPR now the same way they did before the pandemic and the way they have done it for decades. Go to their website for an explanation of how it is done. Obviously, when one retires fully this lowers the LFPR only if no unemployed
person takes that job. Otherwise, there is no change to the LFPR. The LFPR goes down when people leave the workforce and no one else takes that job. The LFPR has been driven down by:
    1. People living off of unemployment benefits, theft, and stiffing landlords for rent.
    2. Early retirements.
    3. Parents unable to find and/or afford daycare.
Unemployment statistics IGNORE all of these factors.

    Since you claim to know...

    :-)

The labor force participation rate represents the number of people in the
labor force as a percentage of the civilian noninstitutional population.
In other words, the participation rate is the percentage of the population
that is either working or actively looking for work. Source USDOL BLS

The labor force participation rate is calculated as: (Labor Force ÷ Civilian Noninstitutional Population) x 100.

This measure of labor force quantity has never recovered from the pandemic.
It was rising until the pandemic hit. If it had recovered there would be about
2 million more employed than in July.

    https://www.bls.gov/charts/employment-situation/civilian-labor-force-participation-rate.htm

And is that our Sunshine showing how the labour force participation rate
is supposed to negate the jobs growth, Liarboy?

BLS is calculating the LFPR now the same way they did before the pandemic and the
way they have done it for decades.

Oh, I know it hasn’t changed.

Obviously, when one retires fully this lowers the LFPR only if no unemployed person
takes that job. Otherwise, there is no change to the LFPR. The LFPR goes down
when people leave the workforce and no one else takes that job.

Which is indicative thst in a very low unemployment environment, there will be fewer 1:1 replacements, as well as incentives to increase automation.

The LFPR has been driven down by:
    1. People living off of unemployment benefits, theft, …

You sure it has increased? Likewise, that it was a significant fraction to begin with?

… and stiffing landlords for rent.

Because people can’t do this while still working a job? Try again.

    2. Early retirements.

Which could imply a strong economy for them to have the luxury to afford…right?

    3. Parents unable to find and/or afford daycare.

This is the one I’ve read reports on. Men’s return rates had already hit the pre-CoVid 100% mark several months ago, but not women.

Unemployment statistics IGNORE all of these factors.

Of course they do (at least in part), because they’re a different metric.
