• Which states are people leaving? NJ TOPS THE LIST! 4 YEARS IN A ROW!!

From Tommy@21:1/5 to All on Sun Oct 29 11:48:19 2023
    Outbound moves: 70.5%

The Garden State holds the dubious distinction of holding the highest percentage of outbound moves — for the fourth year in a row.

About a third of movers said retirement was their main reason for relocating elsewhere.

New Jersey has some of the highest property taxes in the nation and the median home value is around $430,000, according to Zillow.

“It's overpopulated, over-regulated and overtaxed. People also tend to hate it because almost every approach to the state drops you right in the middle of an industrial wasteland, and if you drive through it you only see the massively crowded highways,

Because working one’s career in a region with high salaries .. even with high costs .. then
means a bigger pension, bigger SS & bigger 401(k), meaning much more financial freedom
in retirement (& telework) to move to wherever one want to live…and for the same reason,
they can easily afford to hire a moving company rather than to DIY with a U-Haul.

Nope. You’ve come nowhere close to substantiating such a claim Tommy.

As noted above, hiring a moving company requires money, which biases
these reports. Thus, all you’ve ‘proven’ is that NJ offers tremendous opportunity,
because more of its retiring residents are wealthy enough to hire a service.
