    Title 42 was based on the pandemic, so it couldn’t last forever.

    Likewise, we’ve had immigration in the past which has benefitted
    the country, so why can’t that be the case this time too?

    After all, the real issue is merely one of scale, and when one looks at
    it this way, we can also say, “we’ve done this before, let’s do it again”,
    appropriately adjusted for now being a bigger & more wealthy (& thus,
    more capable) country.

    Case in point, Ellis Island accepted 1.25 million immigrants in a single year (1907), back when the US was only 87 million. Using that per capita rate,
    we can do 5 million immigrants this year…if we actually wanted to.
