With former President Donald J. Trump facing indictment by a
Manhattan grand jury but the timing of the charges uncertain, he
declared on his social media site that he would be arrested on
Tuesday and demanded that his supporters protest on his behalf.

Mr. Trump made the declaration on his site, Truth Social, at 7:26.
a.m. on Saturday in a post that ended with, "THE FAR & AWAY LEADING
REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE AND FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR
    NATION BACK!"

Two hours later, a spokesman issued a statement clarifying that Mr.
Trump had not written his post with direct knowledge of the timing
    of any arrest.

"President Trump is rightfully highlighting his innocence and the
weaponization of our injustice system," the statement said.

A lawyer for Mr. Trump, Susan R. Necheles, said that his post had
been based on news reports, and accused the Manhattan district
attorney's office of conducting a "political prosecution."

A spokeswoman for the Manhattan district attorney's office declined
    to comment.

Trump really is trying to foment violence & death.

Tactically, the DA should therefore snatch Trump prior to this "Tuesday", and because of implicit call for violence, it justifies them moving early. Ironic.

To pick when, I've debated between Sunday vs Monday; I think Monday AM
would less bad, with there being pros/cons between going at 3AM vs 9AM; personally, I'd drag his ass out of bed.

The reason for Monday over Sunday is because more people have the weekend
off, so the MAGA Insurrectionists are more likely to show on Sunday than on a workday. And the timing needs to be chosen to minimize "real time" media blitz nonsense, while also being too late for the same MAGA's to try to call in to take
a day off from work: force them to skip a day without calling in prior, so as to
have them put their job at risk if they really want to "mobilize".

For LEO, the main risk here is leaks, but one can have extra shifts show up on Monday under the rationale of staging a pre-brief before the expected Tuesday.

I think grabbing Trump early Monday is an excellent idea for all the reasons you mention.

And now that Trump is attempting to foment another insurrection I think he should be detained as well. This will have the added benefit of preventing him from getting the suckers all riled up before the trial. I hope the powers that be are able to
understand this will be the less disruptive option in the end.

I think the indictments have been organized so the so that New York can go first. Unlike GA, the governor is a Democrat and will not attempt to interfere. And once people get used to the idea that Trump is a criminal defendant, the more serious GA RICO
indictments (if I'm reading the tea leaves correctly) will be easier to land. Followed by the documents indictments, the inevitable charges from 1/6 and whatever else comes down the pike.

    We live in interesting times.

And now that Trump is attempting to foment another insurrection I think he should

Held without bail, as a national security and flight risk.

This will have the added benefit of preventing him from getting the suckers all riled up
before the trial. I hope the powers that be are able to understand this will be the less
    disruptive option in the end.

If nothing else, a gag order from the Courts to STFU on everything.

I think the indictments have been organized so the so that New York can go first.

Interesting and insightful observation: GA has the risk of Republican Gov pulling the
plug on the DA; think I saw some new legislation this month to give them the legal
means to do that .. but with NY going first, it puts pressure on the GOP to not become
    a co-defendant.

    We live in interesting times.

Unfortunately so. This weekend’s threats from the GOP to deliberately interfere in the
arrest or investigation is clearly NOT the “law and order” party anymore. As we hear
their threats, let’s remember that these are State charges, so these Congress Critters
have no legal authority to interfere…or stop.

With former President Donald J. Trump facing indictment by a
Manhattan grand jury but the timing of the charges uncertain, he
declared on his social media site that he would be arrested on
Tuesday and demanded that his supporters protest on his behalf.

Mr. Trump made the declaration on his site, Truth Social, at 7:26. >>>>> a.m. on Saturday in a post that ended with, "THE FAR & AWAY LEADING >>>>> REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE AND FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF >>>>> AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR >>>>> NATION BACK!"

Two hours later, a spokesman issued a statement clarifying that Mr. >>>>> Trump had not written his post with direct knowledge of the timing >>>>> of any arrest.

"President Trump is rightfully highlighting his innocence and the >>>>> weaponization of our injustice system," the statement said.

A lawyer for Mr. Trump, Susan R. Necheles, said that his post had >>>>> been based on news reports, and accused the Manhattan district
attorney's office of conducting a "political prosecution."

A spokeswoman for the Manhattan district attorney's office declined >>>>> to comment.

Trump really is trying to foment violence & death.

Tactically, the DA should therefore snatch Trump prior to this "Tuesday", and
because of implicit call for violence, it justifies them moving early. Ironic.

To pick when, I've debated between Sunday vs Monday; I think Monday AM >>>> would less bad, with there being pros/cons between going at 3AM vs 9AM; >>>> personally, I'd drag his ass out of bed.

The reason for Monday over Sunday is because more people have the weekend
off, so the MAGA Insurrectionists are more likely to show on Sunday than on a
workday. And the timing needs to be chosen to minimize "real time" media blitz
nonsense, while also being too late for the same MAGA's to try to call in to take
a day off from work: force them to skip a day without calling in prior, so as to
have them put their job at risk if they really want to "mobilize".

For LEO, the main risk here is leaks, but one can have extra shifts show up on
Monday under the rationale of staging a pre-brief before the expected Tuesday.

LOL! Now you libtards are saying that First Amendment protected protesting is "fomenting violence". After what BLM did with REAL riots that is RICH!!

This is but another politically motivated prosecution from the Dims Nasty Tricks toolbox.
This from the "man" who had no problem with a million investigations
    into Hillary Clinton...

...all of which turned up no actual wrongdoing.

Exactly what charges do you think Alvin Bragg will bring against Trump? Remember, this guy campaigned on a promise to prosecute Trump on ANY charge he could drum up.
Really? I'd like to see the quotes on that.

And you seem to be all for "political" prosecutions when it was Clinton
    in the sights.

You didn't answer the question, Fool.
